4 months

Bridger is 4 months old!  In some ways, the time has flown and in other ways, it has just crept.    I am so happy Bridger isn't so breakable anymore.  What am I talking about, he's HUGE.  Here are a few things about Bridger and his 4-month-old self:
1.  His little personality is starting to come out and it's fun to see.  He is very observant - loves to be where there's a party.
2.  If he is tired of something, he's not afraid to let me know.  He will yell, squirm right out of my arms, and if I haven't helped him out, he'll scream at the top of his lungs.
3.  He loves to smile and his laugh is more like a chuckle.  If you laugh, Bridger will laugh right along with you.
4.  I don't know if the rule to walk before you run will apply to Bridger.  I think he'll be running before he can even crawl.
5.  If I want a truly content baby, I hold him.  Bridger loves being held.
Even though I'm still wearing maternity, losing literally 5 fist-fulls of hair everday, and feel lucky if I can get out to check the mail, I wouldn't trade this little boy for the whole wide world.

Bridger has discovered his hands and will not get them out of his mouth.  He has perpetual slobber all over his clothes...so fun.

The Jumper

We LOVE Bridger's Jumper.  It distracts him longer than anything else.  It is so fun to watch him reach for everything and get excited by "jumping" as hard as he can.  As my dad would say, "Leave him alone, he's working."  Thank you so much mom and dad for helping us buy it..money well spent!

Happy Halloween

For Halloween this year, Tim came up with the brilliant idea while we were combing the aisles of Target to do a Christmas theme.  We were getting desperate for something when we came across a baby Santa outfit and wha-lah, our halloween costumes.
We got this jumper a couple of weeks ago - we were so excited about it! Tim spent an hour assembling it and when we finally got Bridger in the seat, his feet were five inches from the ground.  It turns out, he needs to be four months to really enjoy it, or at least be able to reach for the rings.  However, I feel like every time we put him in, he learns something new.

Bridger's First BYU Football Game

My family came up this weekend and we all went to the BYU football game.  Since Bridger tagged along, we were only there for 30 minutes.  Luckily, we were able to see the only touchdown of the game...nice timing.  The following pictures are just random.

Bridger's Big Day Out

I couldn't stand staying at my apartment anymore so I finally got up the guts and went out for the day.  I picked up my darling sister this morning and we headed up to the Fashion Place mall in Salt Lake.  We had an absolute blast!  My Heavenly Father knew how much I needed this day and helped Bridger to be extra good for me...as in he slept the entire time.

Bridger was rearin' to go in his little carseat.  Unfortunately, he had a blow out when we got to Lindsey's apartment and his outfit ended up in the trash.  Luckily I grabbed a onesie as we headed out the door...this day was NOT going to be ruined by a little (very) dirty diaper.
Isn't my sister gorgeous?  I have such beautiful sisters.

I look like a such a mom.
We had a party at H&M.  I found a cute outfit for Bridger.  I didn't buy any clothes because I still look pregnant and I was not about to go back to the maternity section.
We ended our little shopping trip at the Cheesecake Factory - my favorite restaurant.  Lindsey and I shared an amazing salad and I got some cheesecake for Tim and me for later that evening.  So yum.

Two years down....Eternity to go!

My darling sister Lindsey watched Bridger tonight and like giddy children, Tim and I almost skipped to our car.  We finally got out, just the two of us, and boy do I miss that (getting out and being with my husband)!  We celebrated our second wedding anniversary tonight.  Tim took me to a really nice Indian restaraunt called Bombay House - it was a totally unique experience.  I like to think that I like being cultured by going to museums, live performances, and eating exotic foods, but I'm realizing that I really prefer home-cooked meals or a fun salad somewhere.  I'm going to work on that!  Anyways, we talked about all the history of India we knew, which took about five minutes and spent the rest of the time talking about Bollywood films and SlumDog Millionaire.  After, we quickly ran to get wipes at Costco (on sale) and stopped for some frozen yogurt (a favorite pastime).  Overall, it was the best date I've had in...how old is Bridger...7 weeks.  I'm so in love with my husband and could not ask for a better friend to spend eternity with.

These are some random pictures of Bridger taken over the past week or so.  He is getting so fun!  I love how he is exploring all of his facial expressions.  He can certainly scowl with the best of them.

Tim

I am living with the best man...period.  A few nights ago, Tim got home from school and I had a come-apart with all the trimmings - tears, groans, and crazy talk.  Tim gently took Bridger (smart move) and told me to get out of the house while he and Bridger had some bonding time.  I left reluctantly, knowing that Tim had a ton of homework, but I had to get OUT OF THE HOUSE.  I ran to the grocery store and cleaned myself up (emotionally and mentally).  When I got back, Tim had finished the laundry, changed the sheets on our bed, picked up the house AND had gotten Bridger to sleep.  I really don't know how he accomplished so much while I was out.  He then made me go to sleep early and took the midnight feeding.  I almost wish I could say that this was unusual behavior from my husband, but he is pretty much like this all the time.  I feel like I can never repay him for all he does for me and our family.  Tim is the best thing in my life and I am more grateful for him than words can express.
When Bridger is upset, the only thing that works is rocking him while he is in a sitting position.  Weird, I know.

Bridger At One Month

Bridger is 5 weeks old and is getting more and more fun each day. I can't believe how much he has changed in these past couple of weeks.  He is turning into a baby and growing out of that infant stage.  Maybe I'll miss Bridger being so tiny but right now, I say thank goodness!  I have learned that I don't really like infant stage. He is starting to smile and talk (as in grunts and coos) and generally seems to be a happy baby - as long as he's fed and his diaper is clean...and he's not tired.  Everyone comments how much Bridger looks like Tim and its true, I don't see much of myself in this baby but I don't mind because they are both pretty dang cute.  The hardest part is still the lack of sleep but I always pray before bed that he'll sleep through the night as soon as possible; one day I know it will happen.  Until then, I will continue putting off other priorities for much needed naps.
