Graduation

It is hard to believe, but the day came and Tim graduated from law school.  I remember Tim and me talking about the possibility of leaving our jobs and going back to school on many of our walks.  Tim always said that if he was going to go back, he wanted to go back to BYU.  He hoped to pass his classes his classes and maybe do the Educational Law Journal - but most of all, he wanted to get a good job.  Well, Tim graduated with honors, was not only an editor for the Educational Law Journal, but also did Law Review, and I am beyond relieved to say, he has a great job lined up at the end of the summer.  I feel so blessed to be where we are right now.  Of course, it was not easy - see that kid on the left?  Tim worked through lots of nights and I felt at times like a single mom.  We had dozens of job interviews and dozens of rejections, but I know we made the right decision and Heavenly Father has blessed us the entire way.
After graduation, we threw a little party for him.  His amazing sister, Traci decorated his sign and hung up the balloons, while chasing Bridger around.  She is amazing.
Now, we are enjoying some serious R&R.  Tim has been reviewing letters with Bridger, and teaching him to count with food and treats.  Tim has also been trying out new recipes, like homemade pretzels.
Our grandpa and grandma Hammond got us a night at the Montage, in Deer Valley as a graduation present for Tim.  What a blast. We ate at Maxwell's Pizza, our favorite, and I tried to nurse Ty in the car, which didn't work out too well.  When we saw the Montage, we were floored by its "grand-ness."  We pulled up in our old Honda right behind a $60,000 Mercedes-Benz.  Our valet was very patient as we loaded our bags onto our stroller. while Bridger ran around, screaming and Tim's crumbled up dollar bills falling out of his pockets (So much for being cool about tips).  I was about to say, "Ok, everybody back in the car.  We are heading to the closest Motel 6 because that is where we belong." However, the staff greeted us at the door with a sleigh full of stuffed animals and Bridger got to choose one for himself (a bear) and one for Ty (a moose).  He was elated.  We felt like we were in some alternate universe since we were probably one of a dozen other people staying there at the time.  We had the entire place to ourselves.  We swam, hiked, ate complimentary smores' with different flavored marshmallows, sat in front of the big fireplace, ate chocolate, and watched the NBA playoffs.  It was absolutely wonderful, but Tim and I said to each other over and over, "Next time, NO KIDS!"
