My baby is 11 months! I can't believe how fast time has flown. Bridger is not a baby anymore and even though I loved baby Bridger, I think I love big boy Bridger even more. He has been walking for the past month and is just starting to run. I got him a pair of shoes today from Target - his first. I think they are tripping him up (and out) a bit but he'll have to get use to them. Actually, about 4 hours after I got them, he threw up, what looked like, 3 days of food ALL OVER them. He hasn't been feeling good lately, but I'm sure he's feeling much better now. He's also learning how to throw a ball, play tag, and climb into cupboards (I don't like that last one). 11 month-old Bridger is so much happier in the car than 6 months ago; he sings along with Aladdin or Karen Carpenter and gets excited for our Target trips. He's still a little shy of strangers or anyone other than his mom and dad (and his grandpa porter). His favorite toys are balls, especially the ones that light up when he shakes them. He only says mamma when he wants out of his crib and says dadda ALL THE TIME! If Tim wasn't such an amazing dad, I would feel a lot worse. I love this boy so much and could not imagine life without him. My whole family came up for the fourth of July this year and we had quite the party. We went out to eat, had bbq, went to a movie, shopped in Salt Lake, celebrated Ryan's 18th birthday (he turns in his mission papers next month...CRAZY!) and watched the best fireworks in Provo. It was so fun to have them here and spend time with my siblings. My older sister, Paige came up with her baby - I hadn't seen her in months and I missed her! Paige actually took the pictures below - isn't she good? After I saw some of the other pictures, I've decided that I'm adding a nice camera to my want list.

Tim and I have been spending most of our days outside since the weather is too nice. We had a great night up Provo Canyon. I think Bridger liked it too. He did not want to get back in the car. |

I promise I wasn't torturing him. He loved that lemon! He kept opening his mouth and pointing at it. It was pretty funny. |

Tim, my dad and brother hiked the West Rim at Zion National Park while we were in St. George. It was 16 miles and beautiful. I think his feet hurt pretty bad afterwards but Tim said he loved it. |

10 months
Bridger will be 10 months old on Wednesday! I can't believe he will be one in just two months! Tim is in the middle of his first internship this summer so Bridger and I get to play all day. We go on two or three walks every day, play at the splash pad, and eat tons of snow cones - my idea of a good time. We are absolutely loving these summer months and intend to spend as much time out of doors as possible. Bridger took his first steps last week and now we've been trying for a repeat everyday (pretty frustrating). He claps all the time; it looks like it takes some effort but he loves making noise with his hands. Bridger is also going through a really shy stage; if anyone looks at or tries to interact with him, he'll either tuck his head under my chin or cry bloody murder. We are working on the latter.

9 months
Tim is officially done with his first year of law school. He did great! Actually, he surpassed both of our expectations (and mine were pretty high in the first place). We could not have been happier with our decision to go to law school and we've never looked back. He has now started his first internship at Canyons School District and is really liking it.
Bridger's first tooth is still in the process of coming in. This made for one ornery baby. Luckily he is still sleeping through the night. I'll have to remember to get out of his way when he comes at me with an open mouth.
A toy that Bridger used to chew on has, for no apparent reason, become something he completely fears. I put it in his lap the other day and after looking at it for a second, he picked it up and threw it across the room. I decided to put the toy in front of the entrance into my room; Bridger hasn't been into my room since...problem solved.
This past month has definitely been my favorite being with Bridger. He is such a little person - with his own cute personality. In the morning, he will explore the apartment, pull himself up onto EVERYTHING, get a better view of the place then fall back and explore some more. He gets into his working mode near the toys and diapers and can stay busy for a good 45 minutes without even noticing me. When he is tired, he'll whine and then I'll give him his blankee and we'll settle in the rocker for a few minutes before he falls right to sleep in my arms. I think it's the combination of Bridger's age being easier and the incredible weather but I am feeling so content being a mom to the cutest rollypoley boy and wife to the most amazing and sweet guy. Life is good. Most of the pictures below are of us on walks. Its just so nice outside that we can't stay indoors anymore.

This was taken on Tim's last day of school. We celebrated with Sparkling Cider that we had been saving for months. Congrats to Tim! |

8 months
8-month-old Bridger is BUSY! Most of my day is spent saying, "Bridger, get off of that....Bridger, put that down....Bridger, don't put that in your mouth...don't go in there...watch out! etc. etc. By the end of the day, I am completely spent. I don't think I've ever seen such a busy boy. The only time he seems truly content is when we are walking in his stroller. I try to walk everyday, just to get a little peace for myself. Bridger has such a silly sense of humor - I was at the grocery store with him yesterday and opening up a bag to put oranges in. As I opened the bag, Bridger started laughing hysterically; he thought it was the funniest thing. I opened a few more bags in a row and by the end, everyone in the produce section was laughing at Bridger whose wild giggle echoed throughout the entire grocery store. He is definitely free with his smiles. I love this boy so much! Bridger is a party a minute and we are having a good time. Tim is almost done with his first year of law school. Hurray! He is ready to be done and I am definitely ready for a break.

7 months
Bridger is seven months old and I am feeling less like a complete crazy new mom. One of the greatest lessons I've learned so far is to never get comfortable in a schedule because as soon as you do, the schedule will change. He likes formula one week and only wants breastmilk the next week; he takes long naps for a week, then no naps for a week (those are the harder weeks). Bridger likes to keep me on my toes, literally. He has been army crawling or scooting for a month now and is getting faster and faster. He has taken it upon himself to memorize the entire apartment, every crook and cranny; he goes on little adventures throughout the house every thirty minutes and it scares me to death. He seems to always find the electrical wires, drawers that slam, and random objects that fit right into his mouth. Bridger reminds me of a puppy; he makes me laugh. I love this baby so much! We have the greatest time together.
(This has been the worst winter I've experienced in a long time; I can't wait for summer!)

City Creek
Tonight we went shopping at the City Creek Center in Salt Lake. What a fun shopping center...just a little too cold to really enjoy it, but this spring, while Tim is working all day, Bridger and I will be playing here. Of course, it will be strictly window shopping.
